Dear Members,

Welcome to the Anáil Conference page. This year we will host our 8th Annual Conference. While we would have loved to see you all in person this year we have done our best to put together a virtual conference that will be a broad mix of clinical and well-being topics.

For our clinical talks we are delighted to welcome Dr Cillian De Gascun, National Virus Reference Laboratory UCD, Dr Liam Townsend, St James Hospital Long Covid Clinic Team, Dr Mike Harrison, Respiratory Consultant GUH and Niki Byrne, Respiratory CNSp.

Des Murphy and Susan Curtis from National Clinical Programme Respiratory will give an update on developments in the NCP and we will also hear an update from the 4 national respiratory charities.

We really felt, after the year we have had, that our own health & wellbeing needed some focus so we have invited Dr Pádraic Dunne, Centre of Positive Psychology and Health, RCSI, Tara Rafter, The Navigation Couch to share with us some strategies for recognizing burnout and how to become more resilient, improve motivation and set goals for the future.

Finally, Elaine Hall, Senior Physiotherapist and Yoga Teacher will get us moving just after lunch with a lovely yoga session.

We would like to give sincere thanks to our sponsors:  TEVA pharmaceuticals, GSK, Accord, Intersurgical, Air Liquide, Viatris, Astra Zeneca, Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Orion Pharma, Direct Medical, Roche and A. Menarini. Please visit the sponsor page for company biographies. Their support had made our meeting this year possible and we look forward to hearing from each company during our breaks.
